You must be 100% sure the screw post is indexed into the adjustment channel or you will break this ring. That is how these break. The screws come loose, and people try to tighten it down and the post is not lined into the groove.

HOW TO INSTALL

1. Remove the four top plate screws, remove the plate
2. Remove the four viewer mount screws (then the viewer comes off)
3. Remove the tiny screws which mount the diopter
4. Assemble.

AGAIN, be 100% sure the ring-screw is in the groove channel, which is how the diopter moves in and out via the tip of the screw sliding in the groove. It is’t not in the groove, you will break this ring.
