Calkovsky Cinema Worldwide is interested in the preservation of cinematic history from industry innovators and pioneers. We recently acquired a Special Edition Moy Classic Tripod Head made by former Panavision UK President, Joe Dunton, BSC.

This gold-plated Moy Classic, No. 1001, is the first of only three innovated tripod heads made by Dunton in 1989. Coming from a private collection, it remains the only one ever offered to the public.

This rare 3-SPEED Moy with copies of blue prints from Ernest F. Moy himself, belongs in a museum, or the finest collection of a world class collector, or on the set in use filming movies.

This Precision 3-SPEED Moy Classic compact was made as one of a series of four in 1989 (one remains unfinished). It is a Special Edition made by Ernest F. Moy LTD, London, England, and this Moy Classic is the only one ever sold worldwide. Of the three completed tripod heads, one is owned by Panavision UK, a second by Egripment, and No 1001 is the third, which I own.

This is a Professional 3-SPEED head made with the highest quality materials, dripping with plated 24k GOLD, with the tightest tolerances, just like an ARRI head. There is no geared head made that will exceed the precision of this modern refined Moy special edition. The counter-weight balance of the wheels is remarkable. Once you turn these wheels, you will understand.

Exotic and GLEAMING with 24k GOLD plating, Black Lacquer, and WOODEN INLAYS, this Used and Unrestored, Beautiful Condition Moy Classic has IMPROVED SPEED GEARS, 3-SPEED Pan + Tilt, Worrall-style hand wheels.
